YAGNA - Youth Awakening for Glorious Nation is a charitable organization set up and run by a group of doctors, serving orphan, semi-orphan and socially disadvantaged children, youth and poor people in Telangana since 2007. We work in childcare, child-centric holistic education, rural healthcare and critical care, leadership building, spirituality, and environment in the rural and tribal areas of Vikarabad District, Telangana. Inspired by the clarion call, vision and ideals given by Swami Vivekananda, we have committed ourselves to nation-building. YAGNA is a registered society under the AP Societies Registration Act (Reg. No. 1201/2007 dated 12 July 2007).
YAGNA currently operates five institutions to serve beneficiaries in line with our mission and objectives:
Free residential hostel for orphan and semi-orphan boys at Vikarabad, functional since 2010, registered under Dept of WCD, Govt of Telangana.
Free residential hostel for orphan and semi-orphan girls at Vikarabad, functional since 2010, registered under Dept of WCD, Govt of Telangana.
Spiritual centre and skill development centre for youth, women and children providing meditation hall, library and reading room facilities for students and youth preparing for various exams.
Charitable, non-profit, self-sustaining multi-speciality hospital functional since 2020; registered under the District Medical & Health Office, Vikarabad District, Govt of Telangana; 40 beds, 8-bed ICU and ventilator-equipped ambulance; provides ethical, affordable and quality healthcare services at highly subsidised rates or free of cost, and free rural health camps in 100+ villages.
Free school and centre for child-centric holistic education, functional since 2010; registered under Dept of Education, Govt of Telangana; provides free education from LKG to X Std. to 250-300 children annually, including residential children and those from rural and tribal areas of Vikarabad.
Swami Vivekananda Gurukul of Human Excellence (SVGHE): Established in 2010 at Dhannaram village, Vikarabad, SVGHE offers free English-medium schooling (Classes I–X), residential facilities, personal care and healthcare to orphaned, semi-orphaned and socially disadvantaged children from rural and tribal backgrounds. Recognised by the SSC Board and Women & Child Development Department, SVGHE follows a self-learning and peer-learning model facilitated by mentors across 45+ learning areas including spiritual education, yoga, practical sciences, languages, arts, crafts, sports, vocational skills and natural farming.
Currently supporting 190 children (145 in school and 45 in higher education/training) and reaching 100 more as day scholars, the Gurukul has impacted over 1,800 rural children over the last 15 years through the support of YAGNA and its donors, offering full care and career support until the children achieve self-reliance financially, socially and emotionally.
